Atlas: An Ignite Digital Services Company, is seeking a Junior Accountant in our San Diego, CA office to support the accounting operations for the company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with superior listening, communication, and analytical talents.

This position serves an important role in business operations, working as a general ledger accountant and bookkeeper. You will be working directly with the accountant and the accounting manager in supporting accounting operations. This is not a position where you will just learn how to use an accounting system, you will need to apply your knowledge of accounting to problem solve, including investigating balance sheet variances. This would be a perfect position for someone who craves responsibility, learning, and experience, supporting all facets of accounting and finance with unlimited opportunity to grow.

Requirements:
  • GAAP Principles Knowledge, G/L experience, and experience in MS Excel are mandatory.
  • A strong candidate will have 1 year of general ledger / bookkeeping experience.
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of accounting to include T Accounts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the Reconciliation Process.
  • Candidate will have strong attention to detail and accuracy skills. An accounting degree with a high GPA may be substituted for work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Preferably in accounting or finance but may be substituted for demonstrated accounting experience and another relevant degree.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
