<p><strong>Position</strong>: Data Contributor</p><p><strong>Study Location</strong>: Remote</p><p><strong>Task duration</strong>: Up to 1 hour</p><p><strong>Engagement Model</strong>: One-time, task based</p><p><br></p><p>At DataForce by TransPerfect we’re currently seeking participants residing in the USA to join our <strong>Orchid Remote Audio Collection</strong> project</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What is the project about?</strong></p><p>The purpose of this project is to collect audio recordings to improve voice recognition technologies and the performance of virtual assistants. This opportunity focuses specifically on African American voices to help reduce bias and make these systems more inclusive.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Task description:</strong></p><p>You will need to record a total of 20 minutes of short prompts on an iPhone using our DataForce Contribute app. All recordings must be completed indoors, using the device’s internal microphone (no external mics or accessories allowed).</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Who is eligible?</strong></p><p>To participate you should meet the following qualifying criteria:</p><p>- Be 18 or older.</p><p>- Self-identify as African American or African.</p><p>- Reside in the United States.</p><p>- Be fluent in English.</p><p>- Have an iPhone 11 or newer model to complete the task.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Where is the project taking place?</strong></p><p>This is a fully remote project.
